I bought a DID chain and it has a rivet style master link, does anyone know if all that needs to be done with this link is just press it on?

It is the first chain I have ever used link this, and dont want the master link coming apart!

Thanks

You need a special tool to install it. My street bike requires the use of such a master link.

I have the link on there tight, does the tool do something with the two cylinders that go through the link? Like mold them down so the link will not back off?

I dont have the tool and I am looking to race this weekend. Can this tool be picked up at a local motorcycle shop?

Thanks

Yes, the pins need to be "mushroomed" to secure the link plate permanently. You need a chain rivet tool to do it properly.
