love the new bike. wish i had of done the upgrade to a new bike sooner. alot of stuff from my 400 fit the new bike thank god. way more powerful than my 440 ever hoped to be.

uhmm no i am leaving the internals stock.
i now know that when i spanked a 450's arse is was because the rider sucked. my 440 was hella fast but nowhere near what this thing can do

I don't know much about 450r's, but from what ive read, the 04-05 are notorious for blowing crank bearings. Just ask pro-rider46 lol.

anyway, congradulations on the upgrade. now that i have the banshee, when it's up and running, when i turn 16 im gonna try to sell the 400ex. i want a kfx450 or yfz450. preferably the kfx because i heard they were great trail bikes.

Nothing wrong with the 400, but it would be awesome to have a banshee and a 450, the best of both worlds:cool:

Man such a great quad, did that ever make it to QOTM? I think it did anyway you'll be alot happier with the 450 just beware of the crank bearings in the 04-05's.

i went and rode her last night for a few minutes and its a blast. way more power than my old 440. i now know when i beat a 450 it was because they were bad riders.

Thats only if there is under 20 hours of use on the bike. If there is over 20 hours it is normally ok. Shoot i love my 04 450R.

I just looked at your torn apart EX again. You had all the cooling needed, must be a bad engine or something. What part failed?

jumped time and slapped a valve. stock timing chain so it probably stretched alot. glad it happened though. i needed a good reason to get a new bike

So I don't know the first thing about 450r's, but in the first pic, it looks like the fenders are either cut or unbolted(?) and their are some stock looking air scoops. I think that looks pretty sweet. But in another pic from the front, i don't see the scoops? what's up with the front of those things? Are they made like that? To be able to take the front fenders off...cuz that would be kinda nice.

i am still thinking about the aarms. these are 1 inch wider than stock 400ex arms. so they are only 1 inch narrower than my lonestar. the bike feels good where it is. i really dont want to spend as much as i did on the 400 on this one. but i am sure it will happen lol
