so today my pro armor swing arm armor came in and i put it on.

i was looking at the underside of my 08 and noticed this. it doesn't look right to me, looks like theres supposed to be a cap or something.

im thinking my best bet is to buy the full chassis skids. but just wondering should a cap or something go on first.

i was hoping someone could post a pic of theirs. thanks

Yep, my steering stem in so screwed up there is no stud nut or cotter pin, It kind of just sits in the bearing while the bushing holds it in place.

No choice, the bushing and the lip on the stem stop it from coming out. I'm going to buy a stocker from Yamaha of Troy on ebay to replace this crappy bent aftermarket one I have. An new bearings, seals, and a bushing.

ahh dont get a stock one. things breaking is an excuse to go out and buy nice aftermarket parts.
