im pretty sure but could be wrong but the slipper clutch was made to take some of the engine braking out of a 4stroke and make it feel more like a 2stroke so it would do mutch good

yea, a slipper clutch is used to reduce the engine braking and wheel hop that the 4 strokes are famous for. It also helps with stalling out if your in too high of a gear. They can wear your clutch faster, also. Almost anybody that soley rides 2 strokes and goes on the 4 stroke, notices the engine braking immeidately and wheel hop caused from shfting down too low. Slipper clutches are big with supermoto and mx guys(quads and dirtbikes), as it makes whoops and driving into and out of corners easier and less chance of stalling out due to being in too high of a gear. It makes the 4 strokes smoother and more controllable(braking bumps, whoops), mimicing the 2 strokes. Maybe with a 350+ bore 250r, you might need a slipper clutch. I personally don't see the need for a slipper clutch on a 2 stroke, racing mx on a crf/trx450r, I deffinitly see the need. The older 4 strokes(air cooled) were really bad for engine braking and made them handle like pigs in the whoops.
