i was out riding around fri and sat mostly hillclimbing and on the way back i went to go shif down to 2nd and when i let out the clutch i herd a grinding noise and a couple times when i either shifed up or down in to 2nd it felt like it was harder to push not much but it felt different to me some of the other gears kinda felt different. my oil is overdue could this be the problem (i dont think) or could it be my clutch????

nope only when i pull out. j/k yep use it every time i guess the only thing to do is change the oil and see if it helps if not then i guess im going to have to tear it down and look at my clutch

sounds like you might have some tranny damage. check your fluid for shavings when you change it. id hurry it up too, your piston wont like it if thats the case.

i dont usually use my clutch and the bike shifts less smoothly without it..of course.

does it lurch when you snick it in gear from a dead stop?

im not thinking your clutch, but you never know

only first gear does that but its not major just a very very small movement (never made me concerned)

i would check the clutch first then. it isnt supposed to do that. that is a sign of a worn out clutch and it may have just gotten worse. the only thing is that you said you heard a noise...that is still kinda baffling me.

i changed the oil and it felt the same to me but my dad rode it and he says that its fine and im sure it does need a clutch im sure the 6yr old clutch has never been replaced i guess it may be that time
