if i have medal shavings in my oil what do i do

well 1st thing u wanna do is see if they stick to a magnet. if they do then u know they most likely come from the bottom end. and if they don't then you know they r coming from ur top end. how big r they? Are they shavings or Are they small chunks? If they are chunks then u prolly have some broken pieces in your tranny. hope this helps.

First of all, stop riding it to prevent further damage.

Is this a fresh rebuild? Any abnormal engine noise? Stock or modified engine?

I think I would first pull the valve cover and take a look at the cam and the rocker arms.

i heard i can get a magnetic ail plug is that what you are refering too

That could help to collect some of the metal out of the case. But I think he is just saying to put a magnet up to the metal and see if it sticks. Aluminum doesn't stick to magnets while steel does. That will tell you what type of metal is in your oil and likely where the problem is coming from.
