Truck had these puny tires on when we bought it.. Now sitting on some bigger beefier tires not pictured..

The truck is awesome, hauls @ss, and has an awesome stereo. But riding is expensive. 9-10mpg kills us..

hondamaster, thats a sweet truck. i love those 88-98 model chevys/GMC's. especially duellys(sp). the 454 vortec is one hel of a motor. heres what i haul my quad in.


PS: the tonaue cover and the bug sheild are both gone now.

thanks. although they're plain styling, they still look cool.

The 454 is awesome. You just smack the throttle and it breaks the rear tires loose.

What baffles me is it's an open rear but acts like a posi 90% of the time:confused: My only guess is the shear torque breaks both tires loose.

And I wish we could swap out the rear shocks. On the 3500 dually, the rear completely sucks.. You hit bumps and the whole rear jolts up into the air:p We had 5,000lbs in the back, and the rear maybe went down 2in's. thats my only complaint. hows the 1500 ride?

yea mine is the same way. the rear end is wide open but most the time both tires have power to them. even from take-offs on dry asphalt. im still gona find a possi rear end in a junk yard to slap underneath it. since its not a 4X4 i wont have to worry about matching gear ratios or anything.

holy crap! you fit a quad in that thing? lol. i never thought they had a big enough bed for a quad, haha.

But my dads old 94 explorer with the 5 speed was actually pretty powerful. Towed a huge pop up and an actual camper. It was just the 4.0 v6 too:eek:

My dad got one of those. When we went to Walden last year thats how we had my brother's old Yfz. I make fun of him all the time by sayin its a wannabe truck.:blah: He treats that thing better than anything I've ever seen.:p
