hey i bought a 14 front tooth sprocket for my 300ex and i am one link short fron connecting the master link to the chain and i need to know what i need to do to get it to connect its a 520 chain with 90 links in it but it dont reach.

Take a link like the ones that the master link connects and connect one side of that to the master link then get another master link and put it on the other side to connect the one from your old one to the rest of the chain. It will make it 2 links bigger so you'll have to take the ones you added eventually after it stretches to where it wants to be.

No way it can be to short being 90 links. A 300ex stock is like 86. The stock length should work with just a tooth higher up front.

did you adjust your carrier? because if you just left it where it was before you put the new chain on it will be too tight.

yea just loosen the chain all the way and see where u are at. then cut the extra links if any. and the chain will ahve full adjustment left on it.
