i donno if anyones done it to a stocker but if you buy a walsh it has a heim joint that you can adjust, if you put the joint all the way in its the same as cutting an inch off your subframe. i plan to cut mine down shortly ill get some pics when im done.

Daryl Rath lowered his subframe on his TT 450R last year. Call him at 320-234-7223.

what's the point of lowering the subframe, just to bring the seat a little lower? lower center of gravity?

Maybe not just by itself but when you do it along with lowering the motor and other things it will help. I've only heard of it being done with TT quads where you need a lower center of gravity.

I've heard of some people lowering their Kawi's by 3/4 inch, and it caused problems with the airbox, etc. hitting the suspension components.

I think lowering by an inch on the Honda's would cause the same type problems. The airbox is already close the rear shock in stock format. It may not be a problem for a TT quad that doesn't have as much travel, but for a full travel MX/XC setup, I think you would run into issues.

I think Walsh says 7/8 of an inch. I really dont think its 7/8. But nothing hits so thats all I care. I do like the feel of it better, but who knows its prob just in my head!!
