Well I broke the left front brake caliper bracket on my 250R. I didn't break the spindle, just the bracket that holds the caliper. Since my 250R is a full Roll Design Lobo chassis I'm not sure what year the front brakes are. Are the calipers and their brackets the same for all years of the 250R's or do they differ from year to year? How can I tell what year is on my quad? Thanks for the help.

Through a little research I've noticed the 86-87 differs from the 88-89. Anybody know the difference?

where they differ is the 88/89 brackets have a rotor guard on them. Most take those off to start with, as they trap dirt/mud in them. I have 86, 87, 88 and 89 calipers, the rotor guard is the only difference in them.

Don't roll design a-arms use 400ex spindles??? I know mine do. I had to get adapters to use 250r calipers.

I thought that, too. Mine is a first generation style made in 1997. The final design ran from 1998-2002. Not many differences, but a couple. My spindles are steel and not aluminum. Aren't the 400EX spindles aluminum? Thanks for the info deathman.

Yes, EX spindles are aluminum. You must be running stock R spindles then.
