how do you remove the clutch basket im stuck got plates off but i cant get the nut to come off how do you hold the thing inside the basket to stop it spining to get the but off

impact wrench...

dont try and hold it without the correct gripper tool, you can break stuff...

Yep, impact is the way to go. If you don't have one, you should buy one. Works great for axle nuts too.

An impact works great but buy or borrow the correct tool (grambit (sp?) tool) to hold the basket when you re-install the basket. Its amazing how easy removing and installing the basket is with the correct tools. :D

the above is the "correct" way to do it, however if you are a git-r-dun type of fellow you can install a couple inner and outer plates in the assebly and then use vise grips to clamps the plates together. works great for me....;)
