wow, dan really knows how to give people a good time. Him and his wife, and his crew are some of the nicest people you'll ever get to meet.

Rained the first day, but it was still fun, and the cook out was good.

second day, mud bog was sick... even put my 450 in it :D , that was a hell of a time

and that free style was awesome, and those kids looked like they had a blast.

sunday, we were in the couch race, and it was sick, our couch didn't make it to well.... well it didn't really make it.... period , still really fun.

just wanted to put up a little thanks to dan, for having a sick weekend for everyone.

Got any pics from that mud bog??? or couch race?

A huge thanks to all the people who showed up this weekend to show their support for the park and to have a great time riding and camping. Les thanks for the pics, glad you made it up and got to experience the camping here.

big bad bubba, you and your friends were great - crazy of you to take that 450 into 3' of mud and water. But even more crazy was your buddy hanging on to what was left of his couch after the first lap. HOPEFULLY MORE PEOPLE WILL POST UP SOME PICS FROM THE WEEKEND.

Congradulations to TJ and Don Eller who pulled a heck of a lead in the couch race and never looked back. I thought the race was awesome this year having it on the track where everyone could watch. The extra mud made it alot more interesting.

The Freestyle competition at night was a blast. A big thanks to all the riders who signed up wether they had a big trick or not. Justin Feight pulled off a killer superman on his ltr450 to take the top trophy. We had alot of great tricks including cordova's, nac-nac's, heel clickers, and even a side saddle landing and a no handed landing. IF YOU GOT PICS POST 'EM UP SO WE CAN ALL ENJOY. Hope to see everyone out here riding again SOON.

Harlen Foley the owner of ATVRIDERS.COM will be here this week along with the MOTOWORKS CAN AM race team with their full race rig to do a photo shoot and practice for the upcoming GNC NATIONAL at pleasure valley. I'll have the tracks open all week -even Tuesday and Wednesday for anyone wanting to ride.

Les Davis

Dan I didnt get to see you before I left on Sunday but all of us had an absolute blast over the weekend. Mud Bogs, Freestyle & Couch Races.....doesnt get any better than that:D

I had fun camping at the grounds for the first time. We plan to do that allot more in the near future. By the way, tracks conditions on Sunday were awesome! Those braking bumps on Saturday rattled the crap out of this old man:devil: :blah:

Les it was good having you out for the two day trip. Its always a better visit when you can stay overnight and enjoy the day riding then watch the sun go down and enjoy a couple beers around the fire.

A big thanks to all the people who took the time and effort to build a couch for the race. I look forward to doing it again next year.

I believe it will be on the track again instead of on the driveway like in years past. Anyone else have an opinion on that?

nice videos, i liked the no handed lander:blah: first vids of the new flag jump ive seen so far and looks good. is it staying like that?

dan you should put a really small whoops section in or just a really rough, rutted out part. i might have to do the couch race next year.

ltr450rider21
07-09-2008, 07:19 PM
Thank ya ;]

There is a whoop section on the intermediate, but its really beat up.

dan, ya think you might be able to fix those whoops a little bit? They are uneven from dirt bikes hitting them and are not equal lengths, thats the only reason i dont take that line lol.

I agree. I've hit those whoops trying to get around riders and those whoops will beat the sh*t out of you. Dan that would be a great place for an option line or a place to pass slower riders before coming up to the blacher step up.

where are these whoops and how long have they been there? before the bleacher triple, so does that mean he took away that little table? memorial day weekend it was that big berm then a table then the bleacher triple?

Les Davis
07-09-2008, 07:52 PM
The whoops run to the right of the table top that's just before the berm that leads to the small table and then the bleacher jump.

The whoops have been there for quite a long time.

alright im confused.... you do the connector.... then a left 180 into that low flat double..... then a right turn 180 and into that table.... then it kinda turns to the right and goes downhill i think... then a big left-hander into the table and then the bleacher triple.

where does it fall in there? cause i did the int. track a lot and didnt ever notice them. maybe they're small and i mistaked it for a really rutted up, rough section:confused: are they an option line or is there an option line to them?

thanks that clears it up a little. guess i just never noticed them:rolleyes: wish i would have... i need loads more practice on whoops

Les Davis
07-09-2008, 08:11 PM
Funny thing is, I don't think many people know there to the right of the table. I like to try and pass my friends in that area but you have to be on there bumper coming out the berm and be perfect in the whoops to make the pass but they are really rough right now so I just skip them and hit the table.

jesseweaver
07-09-2008, 08:47 PM
i was thinking.... he should put something on that straight in the back after the table-table-step up then the 2 turns ya know? but then i thought about it more, i really like that part. i passed A LOT of bikes through there. id be even with them or they'd pull me down the straight but then they'd take the inside and you could almost hold it flat around that left hander berm and over that table. that builds confidence when you fly past a guy on a 450 bike lol:D

i guess im just jump hungry. everywhere where theres a little open space im thinking of a jump to go in it. but now that i think more about it, that straight and the one after the ski jump i really like.

Sounds like I'll be working on the whoop section tomorrow. I'm not a big fan of whoops. Their even harder to build then to ride. I'll see what I can do to freshen them up some and make 'em more noticable. If I don't get them done for this weekend then they will definately be done for the following weekend.

Great video's guys - thanks for posting them so everyone can see how much fun we had. Hopefully we'll have 20 plus couche's next year.

Thats gonna be one big bon fire. On a saturday nite?

We had a blast. Thanx for everything. You know BPG gave me some bragging rights.

07 couch race got 3rd
08 Memorial day nite race got 2nd
08 couch race got 1st

I went 1-2-3 in a 365 day cycle. Not bad for 47 year old dad who would love to hit all the jumps on the big track - just a big chicken but happy to see all of those that can.

Thanx BREEZEWOOD
