Well i just got my motor done from dropping a valve and having it all rebuilt. I got to ride it a couple times and i took it out to one of the biggest tracks around within 2 hours from here........I got to ride for about an hour and yes i checked everything before i took off. I come off a jump went to go into a turn hard and through the chain off. Busted the part of the case where the shifter shaft comes out...... So everything has to come back apart again. anyone wouldnt happen to have one of these laying around would they for an 06+ quad woulda ya lol.

Also get a poly case saver and it won't happen again. I bet you had an aluminum case breaker.

i was just running the stock case saver. It didnt bust the flywheel case. I dont know if one of those style savers would have saved my shifting shaft with where its located

It covers the shift shaft too.

pic of the upp poly case saver. well worth the money. I have broke 2 chains since I have put mine on and it has saved me both times.

Thats funny. I was running the exact same case saver and when my chain broke, it busted the case all to crap. broke every bolt right out of the case.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A CASE SAVER.

idk about you guys but i have never thrown a chain (knock on wood). IDK. Maybe I am just very upkeep on my chains. I check it all the time and adjust it when it needs to be. Oil it after every wash.... I run a DID ATV X RING. LOVE IT!

Whats the best chain lube? where can you order it from?

If you are throwing a chain or it's breaking on you, it's simply lack of maintenance, PERIOD. There is a slim chance you could get a defective chain, but I've never seen it in 30 years. Keep it adjusted and well lubed. I'm running the STOCK chain on my 05 TRX450R and it has nearly 1000 miles of desert racing on it.

You can argue all you want, but the best and cheapest lube is WD40, that's all I have ever used.

yeah same here wd40 is the best!!
it keeps it running smoothe stops rust and dont get **** all over your bike!
the o-rings stay nice and not gummed up like other lubes also

atleast im not alone!! oh yeah i get it in the gallon bottles too:D i hit the whole bike with it!:macho
