i just traded my 400ex for a 250r and im not sure wat year my r is where does it say on the frame?

mine has a tag on the left side of the frame. one of the vertical frame rails toward the front but behind the front tire

86-87 serial # is located on the left lower subframe rail & 88-89 is located between the front upper shock mounts.
