How to: rear axle bearings

How hard is it to replace the rear axle bearings and It also looks like a piece is cracked between the disk brake and the center of the axle and is that just the bearing casing? Also any parts store that anyone would suggest for cheapest parts?

The bearing in it are twice as big as the stock carrier and they last much longer.
