Does the tank cover do anything

I finally got my maier front race plastics and i dont have a tank cover. I was wondering if the tank cover does anything or serves a purpose besides a cover.

holds the platics together better so they dont fall forward. not really necesary but its good to have.

anyone have an extra one they want to get rid of, pref. black or green.

Also i dont have the tanks straps do i need those also?

EVERY peice on any machine has a purpose....


However.....it is at your discretion wether or not you use them
