I want to replace my front wheel bearings before I have one fail. Where do you guys get your bearings? The only place I can find them is on Ebay and it's a vendor that ripped me off $179 already.

"ATV dirtbike bearings and seals" is the name of them and their Ebay name is "Racergirlsrock"

I ordered a kit with every bearing in the whole bike for an LT250R. The bike is a 1985 so I even called them to be sure that the kit would fit the bike. They directed my call to their shop guy who told me that every bearing would work just fine.

Well I got the kit and not a single bearing was correct for the application. After like a week of sending them messages she finally responded and said to just send it back for a full refund. Well I did just that and I was smart enough to put a tracking number on the package. I tracked it and they had received it. I waited and waited and no refund. I send message after message with the tracking Number with no response. Then she would respond saying. Oh, send the tracking number again....

Eventually I reported them to the Better Business Buearu. They responded that I had never sent the package.

I would avoid these guys they are scam artists. I had already left the positive feedback on Ebay too so I can't do anything to them.

Obviously I will never do business with them again.

They also have a store called " Boss Bearing "

I called Boss Bearing direct and ordered the tapered roller bearing conversion kit and it came as promised, easy install, and works great so far. I wanted to get away from the original ball style bearing. I hope it's a lot more durable.

How much was the boss conversion? It sounds like the way to go.
OJCOOL, I thought I saw you on pred owners before. There are many threads on were to get bearings. Take yours apart, take the bearings into the auto parts store and they can match them up for you. 6202 and 6204 are th bearing numbers but I forget the seal numbers. You can spend $24 on cheap ones or good ones will cost around $100 to do both sides bearings and seals.

I am going to try and get a how to on redoing the stock hub bearings wrote up soon. I put hardkors on mine I got used from a member. They are spherical.

By the way, I would file a claim against them on paypal if you used it to buy the kit on ebay. You will get your money back.

Here is a discussion with bearing replacement options/numbers with a small how to and torque specs.

The Boss Bearing kit was $59.95 plus shipping. I thought that was a deal. Bearings, races, and seals.

That is a deal. Have you got them in yet? I am going to start recomending these. Do you have pictures of the install?

Well, my intent of this thread was not to bring Boss Bearing more business since they essentially stole $175 from me.

Are the Predator 500 and outlaw 525 front wheel bearings the same? It's the same frame isn't it?

might also check this out. These guys are one of my competitors withing the fastener industry but they carry bearings where I dont. These should be good bearings as they are used for industrial applications and have an RPM rating of 18-24000rps, a static weight rating of 850-1500lbs with a dynamic load of 1760-2860lbs. These should hold for what we need and the price is very reasonable. I do plan on checking with a local bearing shop to see what they can get a good set of bearings for and then have them compare the fastenal bearings with what they provide.

okay so i called the dealership and they had the seals. Will the stock seals still work? I can't see why not. It is just so far to go just for a seal.

So i got my bearings all done and the new ones. in i was too late to get new seals so I was careful when i took out the old ones.

I went riding today with my buddy who has a raptor. I was waiting for him the whole time. Man raptors are slow. Maybe it was the rider. HAHAHAHAHA

i bought bearings from them...twice.the second time i got a bad bearing. i could feel it....they sent me a replacement the next day. they were ok to me. ALWAYS PICK THE SEAL OPEN ON ONE SIDE AND FILL WITH GOOD WATERPROFF GREASE BEFORE INSTALLING. bearings come with a small dab of what appears to be vaseline in them! front wheel bearings should last 2-3 years . axle bearings ...maybe 1 season.:D

I've bought my replacement bearings at o'riley's and everything has been fine so far. They were relatively cheap and they had them in that afternoon.

Another thing that will help them last is to get the cover/caps off of the 2003 predator to keep water and dirt out. Yamaha caps will work also.

I used to get good bearings from "racergirlsrock" over on ebay. The last 3 times I've gotten bearings that were sloppy in one ride and this last set has play in them with 0 ride time. I tried emailing them to get it resolved and nothing. They never replied. I wasn't going to make a stink over $20 so I let it go, but I will never again buy bearings from them.:grr:

Good to know, but you might want to put a threadt title so others too will know what you were through and what they are reading.
