honda wont start

i was riding saturday and my 2001 300ex was running fine. I stopped and turned it off and it wouldn't start back up. only the selnoid would buzz. i hooked jumper cables to it and my truck and started right up, and i let it idle for a couple of min. and turned if off and only the selnoid would buzz when i tried to start it. Put it on charge over night and it done the same thing again today. it happened once before and switched out the battery on of a trx 300 fourtrax and it started right up and ran fine until saturday. i put the old battery from my 300ex into the fourtrax and it started right up and ran fine all day. so does anyone have a idea what could be going on here? please help.

Yeah, my 96 had the same problem, you have dirt under the battery terminal connectors, you need to take them off and steel wool the terminals and connectors. If that doesnt work, do it on the connectors on the solenoid. Good luck!

sorry it didn't work. any more suggestions? please help


i just jumped it off with another atv and let idle for about 15 min. and turned it off and just the silenoid buzzed when i try to crank it back. it's like the battery is not charging while it's running. it fired right up when i jumped it off. please help

Did you do it on both sets until it was shiney?

solenoid is probably bad. that would be my bet

Sounds like your solenoid has gone bad to me.

solenoid or ur battery is shot and wont keep charge no more
