Need help with modds for my 2002 400ex

well as of now i have a
1.stage 2 dyno jet kit
2.white bro slip on exhaust
3.white bro rev box
4.new chain and sprockets
WHAT ELSE SHOULD I DO. I WANNA TRY AND AVOID BORING IT

stage 1 hotcam, 14t front sprocket, 450r carb

i have thae sprocket already . and i was thinking about the hot cam stage 2 . what do you think

if your gonna stick with the stock bore, you'll get a better improvement from the stage 1, although you could manage with the stage 2.

i would go stage 1 honestly if you dont plan on every doing anything else

i wanna get a 11:1 piston and do the stage 2 hot cams. but im tryna figure out more things i can do . i wanna try and hang with my brother he has a trx 450r. he gets me by a least 5 bikes when we race

Best "bang for your buck" mod you can get for a 400ex.

hey phs17 for about 600 bucks you can get the 440 big bore kit with a whole new jug not a sleeve kit a WHOLE NEW JUG and all the gasket adn a stage 2 hot cam to boot............ i just bought kit its a great deal

it depends on how much you want to spend..

you'll hang with him on a mild engine build, but it takes extensive mods to a 400ex engine for it to beat a 450

will the sparks key work well with the 11:1 piston and stage 1 hotcams

The sparks key is not recommended for use with high comp pistons.

at 11:1 compression you will be fine with the sparks key.

go read the entire "How To" thread that I posted earlier, and you will learn just about everything you can think to ask, about this mod.

as long as you stay below 12:1, and no bigger than 426cc, you'll be fine.
