lower front shock bearing

on my 300ex there is space between the bearing (well its actuly just a piece of metal) an the shock that it fits into. I ordered the piece from honda an its doing the same thing. it looks like theres a piece of rubber in the also but i couldnt find the part online. any help would be great

Maybe you can use the parts from a 400EX front shock.
