Bent Steering stem

So first trip out on my Kfx450 and rolled her over. Kind of surprised that it bent the steering stem because it only rolled half way over and I was only in second gear around a banked turn. Anyways time to upgrade and just wanted to get an idea of what length and brand stems most people are running and if anyone has some used Flexx bars

I just won a houser stem and clamp off ebay this morning and dont know if I should get plus 1 or 2 any opinions or suggestions

i went with a +1 and im 6'1 and it feels perfect in my opinion

i have a +1 with flexbars and the cables are just long enough houser told me if u go with a +2 u need longer cables

Oh well that sucks I guess we'll see what happens when it gets here. I'm still using the stock bars for now so hopefully it will work. I'll post results just for future reference if they haven't been already

If not where can I get longer cables from?

i've got a +1 and the cables were still short so i just bought some used 400ex cables for it off ebay...their an inch longer than 450r cables

Thanks HRC450R but since I ordered the plus 2 doesn't sound like even those will be long enough. Anyone help me out where can I get some extended cables and what about the brake lines?

only the stem bent and not the bars? i did the exact same thing you did and my renthals bent

The bars are a little tweaked but not bad at all. I'm not gonna change them until I can find a good deal on some Flexx bars

terrycables.com is where i would start,brake lines u can get just about anywhere. i would never get a standard type bars again i have bent 2 stems and my flex bars are still good

terrycable doesn't have anything for the kfx on their website

Called streamline yesterday and they hooked me up with plus 2 cables that just came out like a week ago and got a full set of their brake lines. Great customer service, went out of their way and sold me the parts directly with my dealer discount!
