no you need a 440 gasket, the stock one will not fit

well which is it? i read else where that you wouldnt need a 440 gasket unless your running an 89mm piston, and i belive 426 is only 88mm yes?

well i'd really prefer to use a factory honda one as i know that quality is certain. but whats the best 440 gasket to use if i cannot use oem.

You need a 440 head gasket. You can use stock studs if you torque the head nuts properly. You need HD studs for a 440.

I used a stock cometic with a 416 just alittle info. I know it is not as big but it is only another .5mm on each side. I searched around and read that you could use a 400 gasket when I was in the middle of putting mine together. It has ran strong for a few since I did it. no leaking or anything. Just my 2 cents. Steve
