400EX starter clutch

Have a 2000 400EX, Starter engages and turns the large ring gear inside the case but will not turn the motor over. Does anyone have experience with these? Can they be fixed or do you replace the whole starter clutch that is mounted to the gear?

you can replace just the clutch you can look it up in a online parts diagram. but you might have to replace the ring grea to if its worn at all.
