i tore my 400 apart put it back togeter
it starts some time but i buts not all was start it pissed me off i have a new wiring harness and it still will not start all the time but when it start it runs like a champ but i need it to start all the time

ok...your wording isnt so great. let me get this straight. you got a new wireing harness and now it wont even turn over? or it does turn over and it starts some times and other times no.

if it doesnt turn over at all. then you deffinetley wired the hog up wrong. check grounds. therres only...2? the coil and the battery. and the wires are color coded so you cant really screw up. but it happens.

if it starts sometimes. then you have 2 possible problems. fuel problems or a short or bad connection. but we need more details!!

but it stop starting so i got the new harness wired it up right it started once so i went back through every thing and it still will not start

well the harness musta run you up a nice penny. al you ahd to do is check the plug and see how a new plug sparks. and that would have determined if you needed a new harness. unless you fried it somehow. but check for spark. let me know how it is. a white spark is awsome. an orange spark is iffy. if you have spark it will start. so if you have spark then its your carb. i see your name is e463x. is that your bore kit or just a race number or somthing. mods? you familiar with engines. fill me in dude and ill do my best

i have a 460 motor just laying around the spark plug is new and its getting spark if i dont fix it by next week it will be for sale for 500 bucks with the 460 motor two

if it has spark then its your carb. did you do the engine work? hows your carb. any mods. jets? everybit helps to diagnose.

not the starter does not turn over any more and its a new carb

i was under the impression that you had juice and it was turning over. how do you know it has spark if you cant get juice to the starter? im very confused
