it can/has been done but if your doing all your own work welding will be involved, mainly to fab up motor mounts,
a more direct swap is the 350x
or you can always build your 300 or buy a 400

wait i just read your profile
and i saw your running a 12 tooth sprocket (kills top end)
and i did not see a exhaust, cam or any thing,
why would you buy a 400ex motor before you even experiment with your current set-up,
at least buy a aftermarket exhaust and try a 14 tooth front sprocket before you decide your not happy with it

no i have experienced a pipe and a 14 tooth sprocket. i got the 12 because my bros friend rode my atv and kept dropping and snapped the teeth off clean. so i got the 12 because the trails i ride in now i need more power. i dont mean 3 teeth i mean all 14. i hade a yosh rs3 full system but it snapped so i welded it and same thing happened so i bought a hmf sllip on and a white bros headder, and beleave me that hade serious power. i sold that to my bro for $275.
