440 ex or preditor 500 ?

should i either keep my 400 and drop in a 440 kit or take over a preditor 500?

the predators look kinda cheapy to me and have not done very well in the dirt wheels shoot outs

If it's the 05 or newer, especially the TLD and LE model, I would do it.

03's were garbage. loose rear end, crappy shocks, awkward ergonomics, horrible trans that likes to blow up, etc.

04's were alright, but I wouldn't trade for one still.

The preds are alot heavier and harder to wheelie. Stock they are only a bit faster than kfx400's so I'm sure a honda 440 would be equal or faster. I love the suspension on preds though.

I've ridden each an 03 and 06 Predator and wasn't impressed with either. Ergonomics suck IMO, they are very heavy, and I wasn't impressed with the power for a 500. Reliability isn't very good from what I've seen either.

I agree, the preds are POS machines. The body roll is HORRIBLE on those quads. 440 ex will blow the doors off any stock pred any day. Besides, what kind of mods have you saw for preds, they are fugly as h***. Honestly just put 3 grand into the ex and it will make you happy.

just for voicing an opinions sake....Id pick the predator. IMO it has a better stock set up and will still be faster than the 440 kit. For reliabilty, stock the honda would get the nod but with a 440 I would think the polaris would be better.
