Changing break pads help

This may sound lame but i have never changed my break pads. I cant figure out how to get the piston in the caliper back in, to fit the new pads. If anyone can help that would be great.

take a C-clamp and tighten it down, it will press the piston back down

i put new pads on and got a screw driver and spread them apart.

Sometimes when I don't have a c-clamp to use a socket with an extension and something flat over the extension with all my weight on it gets the job done.
