Hey, thats awesome. My dad is a manager at a honda dealership, so he knows of all the good deals. Plus he gets a major rebate for being and employee of honda. So after selling my bike, getting the rebates, for me, an 07 400ex comes out to be like 1500!:eek2: But...bad thing is im gonna have to start from scratch on parts...Hopefully you can get a nice bike with some sick parts on it. Good luck, meet ya in the 400 section, lol.

i wouldnt imagine honda would lose money to give your dad a bikae and im sure it costs the more than 1500 to build one

$1500 for a 07 400ex is about 85%+ off retail,if your dad can do that then it should not be a problem to get about the same % off parts too.With a discount like that I would of gone for a Gold Wing

400ex, 700xx, crf250, crf 90 or w/e for s pit bike, CBR1000..... and with discounts like your dad is getting i would pay like $5,000 for all of those mentioned

Did you guys read the part where i said "after selling my bike" My 250 was put up for 2600, and some guy is going to take a look at it tomorrow. My dad gets a couple hundred $ rebate. Man you guys like to jump on people fast, lol. Did i also mention a stimulis check?:rolleyes:

we bought an 2007 400ex for 5199 and thats with nerf bars(with heelguards, and huge pegs) and all around skid plates. the retail for a stock one was 4300. becareful with that "newfound power" bro. the 400 is a HUGE step from the 250. 3 days after gettin my 400 i flipped it due to stupidity and ridin like a idiot w/o gettin the feel for the new bike.

My grandson Tyler is going to be 16 in 10 months and old enough to race the 450 class,so we are looking at some 04 yz450 to buy for practice on then a new quad to race with.What brand, not to sure of but I know one thing it will have a reverse.As it stands now there are only 3 450s that have a reverse,to lose a race is one thing but to lose because of no reverse is really sad,been there done that, it sucks!!
Then on the other hand that 09 LT Z400 is going to be real hard to live without,wow, what a impressive list of features it has,way more than just EFI.

yeap the 400ex handling and geometry is one of the best out there along with the 250r. The 400ex has great low end and doesnt mind being lugged down
