View Full Version : 440 kit what to buy?

im looking in to buy a 440 kit but i need to know what all i need to buy before hand.

Go on ebay and you can find a kit that has everything. What you will need is a cylinder sleeve, piston, rings, and a gasket kit. You can get all this together or separate. Go with wiseco or je. You are also going to need heavy-duty head studs. You can get them from gthunder.com. If you are mechanically savvy you can install them your self. If not you can send it all to gthunder and he will install everything sleeve and all. Your actual cylinder will have to be bored to fit the bigger sleeve so make sure and find a good Machinist.

400?? ew i got my cam sleeve piston and gaskets for 350 on ebay but theres a nice site that has a good kit with a rev box also. the site is

the kit i posted is a new jug and a stage 2 hot cam and all gaskets it is a direct bolt on kit though 350$$ plus getting ur jug sleeved is prolly about the same as buying new jug and getting to keep stock incase u need it imo thats a good deal not to say your setup isnt a good deal just look around and im sure u will find what u are lookin for

u can just get the 440 kit with no cam for 445 shipping included and it just a bolt on kit should only take a weekend to install comes with all the gaskets and everyhting just remove your jug and piston and out new one on the cam is 140 extra might aswell get it and put it in while its apart imo

I agree just do it while its apart, your going to want to do it later anyways
