I used stuff call VHT niteshades. I sanded the taillights down with a high sandpaper ,sprayed about 3 coats, then a clear coat

cool ive never even heard the concept of tinting lights with paint (i always thought paint would block em) but id like to do my headlights on my f150, i see some of the 08's come stock with blackish/smoke colored lenses that would look good with my black but im not booting out $400 to get some though.

its not "paint" per say.....its designed to let light through...its really cool stuff

vht nightshade is really good stuff. it helps the looks if you clearcoat it after you do it. makes it nice n glossy.

Its a 50/50 mix of paint and clear i believe. The guy that did it does it professionaly and it looks very good.

looks good. I was going to do it to my amber corner lights, but I decided not too.

edit: my friend's mustang has blacked out tails, he never got pulled over for it.

Only problem you'll have is if someone does manage to rearend you in the evening. You'll could be stuck with the bill. (Deficent lighting)
