Ok guys if everythingworks out i will soon own a 381ex. I have some questions. 1. What is the front/rear bolt pattern? 2. It has 21's up front and 18's on the rear, and I want to trail ride it. Could I just put 20's on the back and 21's back up front? Opinions please. 3. It has a full CHM exhaust, and I want to know if a HMF slip on will fit the CHM header? Thats all for now.

It also has 400ex a arms, does that mean 400ex shocks will fit or do I stick with 300ex shocks?

1. the stock wheel offsets are
Front = 4/144
Rear = 4/110

2. 21's are fine in the rear, but i suggest going 20'' rear for trail/woods riding

3. the exhaust combo should match up, but ill look into that to be sure

4. if it has 400ex a-arms and the owner did it right it should already have a relocator bracket and 400ex length shocks

Thanks, you hit the nail on the head dude. The shocks are dual rate works so im not real sure what they are for. But your saying I can use 400ex shocks?

yea, you can use 400ex shocks if it has the relocator, but to be honest why would you want to the works are a better shock

stock 400ex shocks are terrible,

but if it has the bracket you can use shocks from many different other quads

Well my plan was to do some triple rate piggy backs up front for xc riding...

Well if you plan to use triple rate then just stick with 300ex shocks and have them valved for 400ex arms. Trust me dont do the relocator bracket.

measure your front shocks extended eye to eye. if they are 14 1/2" to 14 3/4" they are built for the 400 arms with no relocator bracket. works builds shocks for this setup so you dont have to use the bracket. i had them build a set for my sons race 300ex.

Thanks for the help guys. Now I want to know who makes a stroker crank for this bike. Its already a 381 how much more can I make it? 300extreme did you find out if the HMF can would fit a chm header?

no i forgot all about it, but i will find out for you,,

a 380 is damn big for a 300ex motor, i wouldnt push it much further than that

thats my opinion of course

a few places that should sell stroker cranks would be four stroke tech, and powroll, those would be your two best bets but again, i would leave it alone if you need more power then dig into the head, and find the right cam

that will make the most improvment

Oh it has web race grind cams, fully ported heads, 381 piston, duncan carb, full exhaust, etc.... I just want to know how much more a man could go.

i see, man that thing should be fun

but back in the day there used to be alot of built 300ex's and for some reason i want to say the maximum size is either 410 or 419 cc's, but i mean if something would happen to your motor then your screwed

and im 99% sure the HMF will work with that header,
i say go for it

i was reading though and from some of the reaserch that i've done woudnt it already have a stroker crank to be a 381cc motor, i might be wrong and if i am let me know cuz if there is a way to go up to the 400s i deff. wanna know how to do that cuz i'll do that to mine and just have an extra jug and stuff layin around in case it blows.
