sounds good to start with, maybe a 190 to be safe, then work your way down.

You have an 08 and your running 04-05 jetting specs.

Slap in a 170 or 165MJ and a 45 pilot, will be much closer. Tune from there.
MIGHT need a 48pilot at most, Dasa's seem to need it a little richer on the low end then most other pipes.

I got an 08' with dasa and custom high flow airbox/k&n filter. I run a 170 main and a 45 pilot, but I got a quickshot wich helps bottom end. Oh, and stock needle is not adjustable if I remember correctly, so I got the HRC needle and on the third notch.

Depends what year their bikes are.

A 185 with an FCR carb seems pretty rich for just an exhaust.
Only if the bike had porting or bored carb, then I'd say that would be closer.

The 08' carb has a different serial number than the 07's either, I'd go 170 first, then 165 if that doesn't work. Getting to the carb sucks though, you can pop the bottom plate off to get at the main jet, but the pilot you have to remove every single body panel. Front and rear fenders, gas tank, and nose piece.

Should be able to tilt the carb by just removing the gas tank and it's heat shield.
Loosen the air boots and turn the float bowel towards you.
To totally remove the carb you'll also have to remove the air box though.
I haven't removed my plastics to get at the carb in a long time.

dasa has specs. call them and see what they might suggest.

the reason i recomend the 162 is because thats what honda recomends. they have to choose something that is safe to be ran accross the country. although you jetting might not be perfect, you won't run to lean or rich. putting the bike on a dyno with a sniffer will be the best way to find out where you need to be. different bikes, elevations, weather temps, etc. will require different jetting specs.
