My 400 is running WAY to rich and was wondering if anyone knows how to adjust the air to fuel mixture setting

How do you know it is running rich? If it is that bad out of whack, the air/fuel screw is not gonna help. The screw is there to fine tune the system. Sounds like you need to rejet (to get it close to right), then use the screw to adjust from there.

Because i'm only getting 2 start off of a plug then it's burnt.
I was going to attempt that and if i didn't work get it rejetted or get a small jet

You need to find out what throttle position you are funning rich. Do you ride hard or are you just kinda putting around. If you are riding at low rpms, go down on the pilot jet.

I don't even ride it anymore so i have it sitting at the bottom of my hill for sale. I'll start it ride it up and park it, go out next day BAM won't start and the plug is black

wait so you are selling it because your jetting is off? or your selling it just to sell it and your jetting off makes it seem like a bad quad?

I'm just selling it to sell it, i wouldn't sell it just for that. I know the price to fix it is only 80/90 bucks

Replacing jets is fairly easy to do by yourself.

Have the jets been changed from stock?

Here's a good article on removing the vcarb and changing the pilot jet. The main jet is just as easy to replace though.

most likely if your plug is going bad like that it means ur getting to much fuel. Easy fix take your carb out take both jets out main and pilot. go and buy some smaller jets for like under 8 bucks and u should be good to go.
