in the photo the bolts on the end of the a arm are not coming out easily.(marked with red line) Do i just need to use some force or is there some trick?

JOEX helped me out with this before, I had the same problem. Get a socket that will fit between the 2 nuts and start trying to back the nuts off, the pressure from you backing it off pressing against each other pops them out. Other than that buy a pickle fork for them but the socket method works fine.

I use a pickle bar to get mine out. If you choose this method be careful not to rip the boot.

Keep tension on the upper or lower arm. One at a time of course and then smack the spindle with a block of wood and a hammer and they should pop right out. Leave the nut on until they come loose, its a little safer that way

Yes those work good to. The Pickle Fork is hard not to tear the boots with them.

I do this combined with the separator as mentioned in earlier posts!!
