Hey everyone,
this is my First post here

I've been a regular at atvconnection for a few years now.

I ride a 96 scrambler 400 4x4
and a 99 300ex

What I know is,
alot of people put the 2001 Raptor rear shock on the 300ex BC it fits, BC of the remote res..

Well I got to looking on ebay, and bid on a raptor shock, i swore it said 2001, but it turned out to be 2004 with a piggyback when I looked at it again.

Anyway, i got it for a good price.
Im wondering if I can make it fit..

What will I have to cut?

And if thats not an option,

Why cant I mount it upside down, with the Res at the bottom?

You'll have to cut off the left side air box support rail.

ok, thats def an option, I was thinking
about going clamp-on anyway

What about running the shock upside down?

is there any reason this is a bad idea or that it wont work?

it will work. as DJR300ex said just cut that air-box support rail, it serves no structural purpose, just make sure you plug the opening in the air box,

DONT run the shock up side down, they desinged like they are for a reason
plus the bottom mount would be too wide for the top
