i suggest that u buy one as soon as possible. although its not likely for ur new quad to slip a chain and bust the case costing some money u should always have one on. the stock case saver is crap. it isnt thick at all. call the quadshop and order one. i have the prodesign and its great.

I have a few questions regarding case savers...

First of all, what is the stock one made out of and is it integrated into the front sprocket cover? Are these not good enough to stop a chain from breaking the case?

Also, if I get an aftermarket case saver, can I still use the stock front sprocket cover?

Finally, which one is best to get, and where can I get it cheapest?

Thanks,

Jordan

Boy u better get one. I had a really old stock thin one on mine, and one time i was going 5th gear WOT down a gravel road and SNAP. My master link broke. Well about 60 bucks later for a new chain, new case saver, and metal putty (its called lab metal) to patch the case up, I learned my lesson. So do your self a favor and spend a little now or alot later. P.S. 300exHMF they dont sell an aftermarket case saver, just go to honda dealer and order a stock one there only a like ten bucks.

Hope i helped ya guys.
