I'm getting antzy with all this cold weather, I need to go riding.. and i sure as heck cant afford a winter project..:blah

I figure as hard as mx is on a quad, I would rather be doing this now than during next season. I doubt anyone will recognize my Speed when it is finally done.........JIM

Smitty's billet stator cover again.....his parts seem to be high quality......
mabe i am dumb, but i do not see the purpose of heims on the a-arm to frame mount, i mean, do they give more travel, or somethign?, i would think ( i personally dont hav any experiances with heim a-arm mounts) that because they screw in to the arm, that would actually make it like a bottom male/female balljoint connection, which is known to be weak and bend or break, just some questions for ya Jim, good luck with it

Thanks, the cover is awesome. I got the unpolished one from David, but have already got a good shine going on it in only about 15 min. I am going over to my friend who owns his Custom Jewelry biz to use some of his trick polishing tools and goop.....lol..........JIM

isnt the tranny a cassete type?
dont you pull the tranny out without splitting the cases?
theres probably just as much work involved even if you dont plit the cases..
right?:confused:

bean, the heims on the frame are for CASTOR adjustability.

right?:confused:Bee, it is a cassette type tranny and there's no cases to split. Remove a ring of bolts and the whole tranny slides out in one piece. Can be done in about 15 minutes. Far easier than splitting cases and lining up shafts with bearings, etc.

nice pics, but take the declaration of independence out of your info its annoying as **** when your scrolling down. everyones seen it before.
no offence but your the perfect example of how mot to have a sig. Thats a lil bit obnocious. IS tehre a reason you have that all in there. I mean i think the prpose of a sig is to show what you have done to your quad not the lastest atv news. If you feel so strongly that it needs to be showed on this site its called making a post. People will read it respond to it if they have feelings then it goes away unlike your sig not trying to flame but i think there should be some sort of restrictions

Seeing the inside of the dale is awsome! But the more I read this post, the better I seem to be doing in Social Studys class? :confused:

I think it's pretty sad that Jim had to actually EXPLAIN that his sig was a sarcastic protest about the length of some of the sigs on here...

Scott, thanks. I wouldn't call the sig a protest though...it was sarcastic HUMOR....some people don't get sarcasm though and it is taken wrong...
As for the motor, I have the head down at Trinity Racing for them to port and polish it, mod the cam timing and going to get their mapping. Probably only worth a few hp, but with other mods should wake up the already pissed off 4 stroke nicely....:D
