Up here, red/black Culprits work well along with green yamamotos but they're expensive. Then around sunset I use hoola-poppers or any top water lure.

I usually fish for walleye , but have caught quite a few bass on black jigs with white twister tails ..... bass seem to love the twisters.

For the Bass and Bluegill Im a big fan of Spinners and Rooser tails, then for the catfish I use chicken liver. This was from like three years ago, from a small farm pond that hasnt been fished in like 5 years before this

for bass i like to use a Kelly's plowjockey they are kind of hard to find though. theres a small store in southwest missouri that sells them and the only other place i have found to get them is in ohio. use different colors i like the purple ones with a redish pink tail and the dark brown ones. they work GREAT on trout too

spinner baits, shallow running crank baits, tubes, plastic worms and lizards, and buzzbaits are all i fish with in the summer.

i catch tons of bass on a rapala crawfish lure, i dont know what it is, but if you have the right color ( there are 4 i think, crawfish change color with the lunar cycle) bass tear them up!

bass fishing keeps me occupied, but usually while i'm bass fishing near the top, ive got some chicken liver on the bottom trying for a monster channel cat

the bass in wawayanda and swartswood lake seem to like live baitfish the best in my experience

i use almost all fake scented bait. works great no complaints, even walmart has it. Sometimes I'll catch these dang bugs that fly around in my garage cause the lights when i'm working out there, stab them with something and save em for bait, the bass go crazy for them! I mean its like you cast out a couple of times and you have yourself a bass on the line its amazing. They are golden color, dont know if nay other states have them but Florida has them during the summer thats for sure.

around here they kill the topwater stuff. i never use live bait, just a good popper or something. i have this killer topwater mouse and when its slow i just scoot that thing across the top of the moss. works everytime. also, switch colors a lot and find what they're hitting on that day. around here its different everyday but they always seem to go for darker colored things. i used to go bass fishing prolly about at least 10 hours a week and i was so good and i loved it but now i rarely get to go anymore:(

How far away are you from the Rockaway Mall? I live right up the road in Mount Hope. Take a trip up here the next time you want some monster bass.
