Opinion.. Elka ZPS from 400ex to 250r?

Would an Elka rear ZPS shock from an 400ex work just as well on a 250r? Just seeing if anyone has tried it....

I do not believe that the 400 rear shock will mount up to the R.

400ex rear shocks are shorter from eye to eye than a 250r
(by 1 inch or more), and it would have to have a remote resivor. Also, the lower shock mount on the shock is wider than a 250r and wont fit the linkage correctly.
