It all depends on which year the 350X is Honda had to different set ups for the '85 and the '86.

To answer your first question yes you can use the 350X axle in the 250X swing arm. If you go to RAD Mfg. you will see the '86 350X and all the 250X and 300EX double carriers are the same, the '85 is different. Adn if you look at the tapered carrier it show the '85 is differnt then the '86 and it different then the 250X because brake mount is different. It use to say the double carrier for the '86 can be used on a '85, but you have to convert how the sprocket attached from the '85 style to the '86 style.

You gain a extra 1" or 1 1/4" in length with the 350X swing arm and a more adjustable shock.

The '86 set up is like the 250X and 300EX's. If you keep the 250X swingarm you can use the all the rear end parts. If you use the 350X swingarm you have to use the 350X shock and drill out the top shock bushing to fit the 250x shock bolt. And you ha veot make spacers to center up the swingarm in the frame, the frame is wider on a 250X then it is on a 350X.

The '85 set up is different in the way the sprocket attaches to the sprocket hub and the brake has a rod that attaches way up the swingarm close to the shock mount.

You can use the 250X set up on the '86 swingarm. Axle width I not sure I think it like 2 inches.

all my parts are off an 85 350x so in order to get the axle on my bike i would need get the 350x sproket pressed off and put the 250x sproketon and the 250x carrier will work im sorta confused and do you think i should do that over my stock swingarm with my works shock

Well that up to you on the conversion, the 350x will make the bike little longer and handle little better. But since you have a Works rear shock I think the ride be about the same.

See the attached picture on the axle the '85 uses parts 7, 13, 17 & 18. It has a nut on the inside of the sprocket which causes issues with carrier clearance. You can get the '86 part 14 and a sprocket a '86 and put the bolt through the sprocket, like the 250X and have no clearance issues.

To install the 350X axle in the 250X swingarm and carrier. Go to a Honda or atv shop that can order Honda parts and order 4 of (90114-HA5-670) and purchase rear sprocket for a '86, remove the old sprocket from the 350X sprocket hub, by unbolting it keep the bushings and the nuts. Install new sprocket with new bolts and use old bushings and nuts. Slide axle into your 250X rear end and reinstall all you 250x parts, brake hub, axle nut, etc. to the other side.

so if i wanted to install the whole rearend off the 85 350x it would just bolt right on correct beside the washers needed

You have to drilling out the upper shock bushing. but other then that yes.

I am installing a '86 350X swingarm on my current project. I am using a RAD Mfg. tapered carrier for a 250X/300EX with a 450R brake holder. I am installing a Durablue Eliminator axle for a 250X/300EX with 450R anti-fad brake hub and rotor and caliper.

thats sounds like a nice project do you have any pics and do you think the 250x rear brake setup will work on a 350x swinger and i was taking the swinger off the frame yesterday i noticed that the rear axle was loose does that mean that i need new bearings and will the 350x setup lower my bike

The caliper is the same caliper but the mounting bracket is different between the '85 350X and the 250X. You could change unbolt and change the brackets and it shoudl work. Also you will have to loosen the bole going into the rear master cylinder just enough to rotate the hose just a little bit to make up fo rthe extra length.

I do not have any pictures right now to load.

If the axle was loose and the axle nut was tight I say it needs at least a set of bearings. The set up will lot seat height a little bit.
