striped the oil filter screw

ok any ideas wat i could do i tightend it to much and i striped it any easy ideas on to wat i can do to fix it would be great...

could i just get a little bit longer screw than the one that is in it now? would that tighten it back up or wat.... its the long screw that goes threw the oil filter i just tighten it up but it just stays loose ... so help plz.........

i took and used a tap and die and taped new threads on the left cover and put a short bolt in mine but my long bolt snaped
