(and yes the rear skid was off. I was replacing the bolts w/ some allen button heads that would glide better than the hex heads. Also 1 front tire was intalled backwards, oops.. lol I shortly after pulled the tire off the rim and flipped it around.)

17, i have my 96 warrior that my dad payed $200 for, then after i saved for two years worth of christmas and birthdays ( i just recently started working at the golden arches) i've managed to put about $2500- $3000 worth of parts on it. and for a warrior its pretty quick, i bet i could keep up with alot of you 450's in the woods.:D

I have a truck that I brought by myself, 6k, pay for insurance, 1k every six months, pay for all my gas, 100 dollars a week. Pay for parts that break on the truck. I have a bike I payed for my self, 1,650, around 2k in parts and gear, payed for by myself, I have around 1k in tools for my job that I payed for by myself. Lifes tough, get a job and save your money. If mommy and daddy brought them a quad, then great! It shows that the parents support their kids. Don't be jealous.:chinese:

congratulations thats good. im not jealous at all, at 13 i would have been, but if you get everything handed to you, you will be screwed when your on your own. or even when you get a job. i know people exactly like that who get everything handed to them and go and get their first job at like 17 at a fast food restraunt or something, about the easiest work you can do, and can't handle working 20 hours a week over the summer, and its no point for them to work because they can just go home to mom and dad and have plenty of money through them...

I payed for some of my 400ex. My dad helped me with some of it.

He said he wants to help me some, but not pay for everything. He's not an @ss that says "you HAVE TO BUY EVERYTHING YOURSELF!" I pay for all the mods, he pays for some of the maintaince.

And im very appreciative of his help. If it werent for him i wouldnt be riding. Im 14 btw. I put about $800 towards my 05, it was 1800 so my dad did the 1000, but it wasnt quite that mnuch because we got 835 for my blaster towards it. but that was his money that bought that, so 1000 he payed for it.

I also payed 100 for my exhaust.

So I dont get everything handed to me, and imnot spoiled, but i get help

Dad bought it for me 3 years ago as a beat up POS 416 with more problems than it was worth, and I've payed for everything on it in one way or another. Most of the time, my dad buys the mods for me and I pay him back for them by working around the house and working for his company.

Jesseweaver, dont hate other kids just because they have a nicer quad than you. I work my *** off for my quad and everything on it, along with the $9.50 a gallon fuel I have to run in it.

uhm i know a kid that got a 04 wolverine in 04... they gave him 3 garand in cash to mod it... he got pissed and rolled it down a hill one day on purpose..all because it almost didint make it up a hill

I personally love the hybrid more. The full laeger feel is sick, but i feel im more of a 2stroke guy, So ideally I need to get a full laeger R next! lol. But that 03 yz450 engine is sooo easy to ride and its insanely reliable.

my buddys got a pep rear and you can barely tell the difference. same quad only difference he has a plus 1 swing arm.

No, it wasn't that the headlight was out for that pic, or that the only tires I had handy were from an ATC90, that's just how it was, and I couldn't have been more grateful to my dad for getting me it.

All my money went into my drumset, which is one of the nicest things I own second to my truck.

everybody has to start some were and 400 is a great way to do it thats what i started with. mine had plastics held together with zip ties, and alot of other not so great things. then i thought i was getting a good deal on an ltr and it turned into what i called a janky quad nobody else would ride it because they were unsure how safe it was. then i picked up my kfx stock and just saved, saved, and saved some more and slow but surely it all came together. I know how expensive drumsets can be my brother wanted to buy a 4000 set and he said that was middle of the line so its all in your priorities.

Yep, if I went riding more often, I would definitely buy a 250r that's for sale on my local craigslist, it's pretty much my extreme dream set-up all done and pretty. But I spent about 1700$ on my set, and it's right at about middle of the line.

I think I'm just into too many things since I love Car Audio, Quads, Trucks, Drums, Computers, Airsoft, and Painting, just to name a few, but I can usually get away with just looking at stuff on most of them, and not make big purchases all the time.

Its starting to get better. If what they say this year is true, its going to be a sick track. Last year I finally rode after three years of not riding. It was pretty rocky and a little bit rough but they are cleaning it up. They ran open but when it gets packed they do classes. There should be three tracks this year from what they told me. A little kids track, a intermediate track and a "harder" if you will track. They also have trails there. Bunch of great people also.
