Well its the first day of buck up here in PA and i got what i was after. I got up at 5:30 and got reaedy, waited til it just started getting light and then headed for the woods. 10 minutes after i was in my stand i saw 4 deer run across the opening. Well i waited til it got a lil more light out and just as i began to put my extra pair of gloves on(27 degree weather) I saw a doe lookin right at me. I waited and 3 more deer walked up. The last one was a decent 4 point. I had a great shot at it but past it up. Well as the day went on there was alot of deer but only doe. Later there wasnt much activity so i decided to take a leak. Just as i started doing my business a doe jumps out and right after her this 8 point. I quickly finished my besiness and grabbed for my gun. The deer started moving more quickly and the where in some brush so i couldnt see them to good. I saw where the doe was and i put my gun in the same spot and waited for the buck to get in my sights. Next thing you know the deer is on the ground and im pressing my chest trying to keep my heart beat down.:D

you gotta be kidding. hunting is a way of life if we didn't have it you wouldn't eat.
are the bucks in rut up there if so the meat will be tough
backstrap is the best on a deer

Nice Buck. How much does it weigh?
I haven;t got one yet. I have seen 18 and only 1 coulda been so i didn't wanna take a chance. Hopefully I will be lucky enough to get one that nice too.
What are ya hunting with?
I use either my 35 or my .308 The 35 is better in the brush.

Dude seriously grow the heck up. You obviously dont know jack about hunting. If we didnt do it then there would be to many deer running around and they would all die anyway!!!

No the rut season is just over now. The meat was a lil rough but those backstrips are gonna make for some fine eatin.

Im hunting with my 270 winchester featherweight rifle with a leupold scope. I shot the deer at about 100 yards away.
Sorry for all the posts.....I just thought it would make everything easier.......

While I dont mind hunting IF its not trophy and the meat is being used, as it is here...nice one BTW. The above is just a big question mark for me? Last time I checked most the meat eaten in the country is beef, chicken and pork. I wouldnt say that too many people are out hunting chicken. Therefore "hunting is a way of life, if we didnt have it you wouldn't eat" isnt really valid.

Well the way I figure it is, the next time a deer runs out in front of ya and totals your ride or even worse kills someone, dont complain about the over population.. Around here they are doing controlled hunts at night to try and thin the heards down.. Too many are starving for lack of food..

correction to that derek... they are still in RUT!!!!!!!
u wanna know how i know haha bc i just shot my 7 point tonight and he was tryin to get on a doe when i did it haha... the best part i shot it right square in the head haha... it was pretty nice size buck tiny bit smaller then urs... i'll have pics in a day or 2...

I shot a nice six pointer saterday and in wisconson hunting is a way of life.
P.S dose eny one hunt with a muzzel loaders.

my muzzleloader's dont have any hesitation......tc 209x50 and a remington 700 inline with 209 primer conversion.:devil its almost unfair to call them smokepoles;)

hey pappy... about 20 mins down the road from me and about 5 from derek about 100 wild bore got loose in the woods:eek: they are running all over the place up there and they want people to kill them... i've seen a few in my area already... they are reproducing fast... soon we are expected to have a population of them... they bread like 3 times a year or something and multiply so fast its not funny...
wild bore hunting time:macho :D and the best part its free and unlimited kill

DEFINATLY!!!!! Its so fun to hunt those dang things. I have had them in my yard alot of times but never could get the gun out in time. I shot a male on when they first got out but it wasnt big enough to mount. The thing is that the males have so much testostorine running through there bodies that the meat isnt good to eat. So you just kill them and let them sit. NO LIMIT!!!They reproduce like rabbits and the state wants them all dead. Three people have been hurt by them already. Ill give you all the details about the easiest way to kill them Pappy when we meet at Tommy's.
