Tattoo Ideas...need you're input

Ive been thinking of getting a tattoo lately and have run across a couple ideas but they arnt perfect.

The purpose of this tattoo (my first) is to remind me of all the great times my friends and I have had in our teen years and our favorite hobby, riding. It also incorporates my personality as a gear head, which i will always be.

I saw a tattoo that was a atv front sprocket with the words "Ride fast, Take chances" around it and really liked it, but it seemed to simple.


The next one i really liked i just found on a different forum, but i dont want to steal his artwork or ideas, but really really like it.

I want this tattoo to be perfect but im not artsy, so if anyone wants to mess around with some stuff I would really appreciate it!

Also let me know what you think, tell me if its a stupid idea, tell me if you like it, I dont want something retarted on my body until i die lol.

The first one you were talking about sounds like it would be good. But that's me. My tattoo when I turn 18... In 6 months is going to be rediculous. I'm gonna have scooby-do with a lawn mower right below the belt line.... When people ask what it is, it's scooby-do mowin' my pubes. Ahahahaha!!!! Love Guru

Hmmn. Save your money and buy something you can enjoy. Tires, parts, or whatever. I don't have any tats, nor will I ever, but if it did, i'd have me some honda wings that covered up my ribs.

Tattoos are something you do enjoy .... that's the purpose of getting them. They usually have meaning to someone ... reminds them of an event, a person , a time in their life or reflects their personality. I've never regretted getting mine , nor will I ever regret having it ... it has a meaning to me.


My best advice for the tattoo , don't pick something out of a book ... sit down and draw something up yourself even if you're a crappy drawer then take it to the tattoo artist and let them fix it up ..... that way there it's YOURS , not someone elses.

dude if you like it, thats all that matters. who cares what everybody else thinks. sounds like a cool idea to me.

i say take your ideas and talk to the artist. Give them some artistic freedom and wthey will design something you will like, and if you dont like it give them ideas and input to make something you will like.

sounds good, i found the place i want it done, now i just have to look at the people work they've already done and decide which artist.

Im going to get another tattoo next week.... Here are some idea's I was looking at.


I usually bring a bunch of different pictures to the tattoo shop... Have all different designs put into one picture..

My next one is probably gonna have the race flags goin around my arm, with 2 pistons or spark plugs crossing eachother in the front.... And probably some writing above or below it.....

Ive been wanting to get something like this for a while. Just without the flames and "born to wrench" and id like to add a sparkplug in the middle of the pistons like the Troy Lee Designs shirt.
