I figured ahh what the heck I will record a video of my 400. The skidplate vibrates but isn't loose, wtf? I dont know why it was smoking either but let me know what you think.

Metal on metal will vibrate.

You can put some foam tape (closed cell so it doesnt absorb water) between the skid and the frame to get rid of the vibration.

valve adjustment? sounds like a little too much chattering to me but it might just be the video playing tricks. nice 400 though.

Nah 400ex's with a cam will have a loud tapping sound, I know mines does and so does hornetgod13's 400ex.

didnt cross my mind a cam doing that.just sounded a lot like my 400 when i had a loose valve

looks really good dude. yea when i had my 400 i had a stage one cam in it and it ticked so loud

Yea the cam is a lot louder than stock :p But I know for sure it is the chassis skidplate because I pressed on it when revving it and it went away. I will have to do what the first guy posted. Thanks for the replys too.

i cut up old grips and put between the frame and the skidplate and it works good for me
