s-10 question

can i take the headlights and grill from the newer s-10 and put them on my 96 with the square style headlights (still second generation)

It can be done but im not sure what all is required like radiator support and stuff??? I always like the Envoy front end on those little trucks

yes, but it may require alot of work depending what year you are going to

It's actually not that bad. Many people have done it. You're going to want to get the 2000 and up grill. The 98's just didn't look as good. There is actually a kit to do it, but cost about 500 bones. You should be able to go to a junkyard and get everything you need.

What are you smokin? I had a 95, and always thought the new ones looked better. Now I have a 2000, and like the grille and headlights much better

Can't remember exactly, but on my 99, I grounded the one wire in the pass. side headlight, and it enabled the low beams to be on while the high beams were on. Do some research on an S-10 forum, it makes a heckuva difference in brightness.

yea you can, I think it was something like 97-98 up with the updated grille/headlights. God I hated my s10, it was easier to take the motor out of my bmw than it was to change the spark plugs on the s10.

What year/ motor did you have? I feel your pain.

95 blazer. 95's was the worst year.

I had a 95 s-10 with the vortec package, first year for it. Yes, spark plugs were a pain to change. I changed some on a non vortec 4.3 and it was a snap. Now I have 2000 2.2l. I blew it up, had to have my head redone, valves and the whole nine yards. Wow, what a chore that was.
