I bought a used 01 , in going over everything I noticed the rear carrier bearings had a little wobble. I figured it was because of use and something I could deal with. I went ahead and replaced the bearings with OEM's thinking the aftermarket RAD bearing holder would be ok with them.

Here's the pinch I'm in. With the new bearings it still has a wobble. I figured since the holder was aftermarket, and the bearings being OEM and the axle being OEM that is the problem. Should I just go ahead and get a stock bearing holder?

I tried to look recently for some info regarding the RAD carrier bearing holder for an 01 and haven't had much luck.

Suggestions for a weekend trail rider?

If you just put the bearings on the axel is there a play,or is it a snug fit???

Maybe the runners on the axel are worn out,and thats were the play is.

just a suggestion

When you say runners your talking about the sprocket base and the brake disc base that go into the holder/bearings?

If so, I was thinking the same thing. How tough would it be to get the sprocket base off the axle?

I'm talking about the spot on the axel that the bearings sit on. The bearings should be a tight fit. Should be no loose when you mount.
