Slap a 13 tooth if you want your 400 to pull like a 450.

Depends what year model you have.. '99-'04 is a 15T.... And it gives good torque.

Hey, most people don't know that putting a 13 tooth front will change your quad, when they spend so much money on engine work... Just trying to get the fire started thats all..loll

I used a 13t and it sure pull. the 400s need another gear cause you will tend to hit the rev limiter with that setup

Sprocket set up.
1999-2004: 15F/38R
2005-UP: 14F/39R
Up on the Front or Down on the Rear will give you more top end (speed), but you will lose acceleration and torque.
Going Down on the Front and Up in the Rear will give you more low end torque but, sacrifice top end speed.
Changing front sprockets are cheaper but, it's a more radical change. A one tooth change on the front is equal to a three teeth change on the rear. Another thing to consider, a change of two or more teeth on a sprocket will require you to add or reduce the chain length.
