14 inch vs. 12 inch

Just gettin into the sport and want to get an after market set of wheels for my machine what is the advantage of 14 inch wheels vs. 12s

What quad are these going on? I've never run 14" wheels, but have run 12" and bought wheels and tires in that size, several sets and the selection is very good. It seems to me that the selection isn't so good in 14" variety, but the industry is heading that way so it will improve. I guess it really boils down to personal preference.

If you ride rocks or nasty woods often then maybe stick with the 12s, more sidewall to protect the wheel, keeps'em from getting all beat-up.
