Well the title basically says it all. Will a 2005 stock header pipe fit on a 2006?

From what I'm told it will - A buddy of mine claims his White Brothers exhaust is for an 05 that he is running on his 06.

We've had some work and others not. The ones that "worked" still rubbed somewhere. Not a good idea.

it will be tight...
i have a full 04 exhaust on my 06.. itll be tight getting on the studs for the first time till it conforms to it.. it is a REALLY tight fit on my er, there is a slight difference in the cases due to the starter.. what i did was mark the 4 points where it was hitting the motor and frame, and slightly dented those areas for clearance.. just lay the header on your workbench, on a pad (folded rag will do) and take a socket, whatever size you feel is necessary, and tap it with a hammer CAREFULLY until you have a slight dent in the areas needed. if you dont do this, you CAN get the header in, but that **** will be tight as hell and will rattle BAD after a few rides.. if you do it right, you wont even notice the dents and that ****'ll RIP. HONDA!!

So let me get this straight... you dented a pipe intentionally to make it fit, when they sell perfectly good pipes that will fit without denting?

We just tried mounting an 06 rossier up to an 04, and it hits on the aluminum airbox and doesn't line up with the head at all. We had it working on an 05 with a stock box, but that was rubbing on the frame. Basically just buy the correct pipe to correspond to your year and you wont have anythign to worry about. These companies spend tons on R&D to make a headpipe that works with each motor and you're now crossing them back and forth.
